Hiking In Taipei!!!!

Even though we had to meet up at 7:50, everybody was very excited about the hiking on Yangmingshan Mountain today. We headed to there by a very fancy and comfortable bus. Later, a NTU student even told me that normally people can sing karaoke on the bus! No way!! Incredible! I think I can take this kind of bus forever!! LoL.

At first, we watched a film in Yangminshan's Vistor Center, a really interesting and creative film. Half an hour later, we walked through Balaka Trail for an exploration of plants and insects. That was unbelievable to see different kinds of insects on the trail. Some students even caught some weird but beautiful insects that I have seen before. After we finished our lunch on the bus, we went to the Siaoyoukeng Volcanic Scenic Site with an adorable and energetic lady introducing many stories and things of the site to us. She is very funny, and she speaks very good English.

Our next stop was the Beitou Hot Spring Museum. It was a very good museum, but unfortunately, we had no chance to enjoy the hot spring and take a refreshing shower in this spot now. After the museum, we went to a very smelly but wonderful place called Thermal Valley. We spent a lot of camera memory there and I thought it was the best place of today!

All in all, it was a really exhausted day!!!!

What a day!

I woke up in the morning and looked at my watch saying it was 9:30. What the... I messed up my schedule and missed the NTU Zoology Museum and Insectarium of NTU of the day. Why god always plays around with me? T_T I did not mean to be late, but it just happened. I was doing my essay of my summer online course taken in my college back in America, and I didn't finish it until nearly 3:00 in the morning. Maybe I need to work on my time management. 

At 10:30, finally arrived at our classroom and got ready for lengthy classes today. We had classes from 10:30 to 17:20, including a two hours' lunch break. Although I got up at 9:30 in the morning, but still, I got totally beaten by my sleepy mind and quiet environment. I was so sorry to those cute and diligent professor that I slept in their wonderful and interesting classes.XoX. 

Finally, our classes were over and we around ten students went to Shida night market together. There was so amazing! We have tried the most popular Luwei and shopped for a while there! Also, I have bought my gorgeous colorful sneakers for preparing the hiking tomorrow in a shoe store. 

What a day!!

First School Day~

Oh yeah!! I wasn't late this morning! I think I really need a prize for even being five minutes earlier than the ceremony! haha!

A very cute dean gave his speech during the opening ceremony and what I all can remember was that 1% of Taiwan's area belongs to NTU. After his brief speech, something hilarious (at least extremely funny to me) happened. He encouraged the two professors from America to talk more in order to make the ceremony last longer because in our schedule, it should be finished at 9:30. "How about you?" the words he said to the female professor just had me laughed for at least 1 minutes!!! So cute and funny!!

Later, we visited Gallery of NTU History and we played a very famous game -- Scavenger Hunt to get familiar to the whole campus, but we all felt very exhausted after playing the game. And several incidents occurred when we played "balance game" in front of the new main library. Some students could not balance themselves after spinning around the besom and fell down to the ground. We were all worried! Even our group was not the winner, I still think our group was the best of the best!!

In the afternoon, we had two amazing professors from NTU giving lectures about animals and insects. The contents of lectures were good, but just way too long.

At night, we went to a Japanese style barbecue restaurant and enjoyed our dinner! :)

Happy Happy First day!~

I can't believe I was late today!!!!! What happen to me? I am a punctual person at all times!!!(am I?) Oh my god, when Wang ting knocked at my door and waked me up this morning(She is like an angel sent by god to help me), I almost fell down from my bed and thought that it is all up to me for being late in the first day. Seriously I felt like I got up very early this morning, but unfortunately I didn't realize that was a dream. And here I want to thank Wang Ting very much for waiting for me and bringing me to the conference room. 

When I got to the conference room, they had already started the introduction.Thankfully my appearance didn't interrupt anything and I quietly found a seat and sat down to listen carefully what my classmates said. Everybody seems a kind of nervous in public speaking(me as well), but some people really made some good jokes and I felt very comfortable and warm among them. Breakfast and bag with almost everything we need are so sweet!!^_^ Thanks for the people who prepared them to us. Also one lady who I didn't know(but I think she is very powerful)always added something funny. 

The first day is a little bit short and we finished our activities early in the afternoon. We have been to a hall, a museum, a president office, MTR, and Taipei railway station! I love the station sooooooo much because it has tons of restaurant there!!!! Eating is the most important event in my life and I think it will last forever for the rest of my life! lol! 

All in all, I am so glad that I chose this program and I can't wait to go on our trip away from Taipei!

By the way, I already set 5 alarms tonight so I won't be late tomorrow any more!!! Hahaha!!
